The Oilheat Manufacturers Association and the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association worked in tandem to guide the Associated Press in the wake of the AP's flawed study on the source of residential greenhouse gas emissions.The AP,drawing on raw data from the U.S.Department of Energy/Energy Information Administration Web site,concluded incorrectly that oil-fired appliances were the primary cause of greenhouse gases in various states,including Maine,Connecticut,Rhode Island and Alaska.
