For the purpose of this document, SGNA has adopted the following definitions:Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube placement refers to an endoscopic technique for placing a gastrostomy/jejunostomy tube for enteral feeding.Nurse refers to registered nurse (RN), licensed practical nurse (LPN), or licensed vocational nurse (LVN).Associate refers to unlicensed assistive personnel such as technicians, technologists, and assistants.
