A standard two-piece board level shielding design from Tech-Etch incorporates a unique,spring-finger style attachment between fence and cover.The use of this design can be customized to almost any possible configuration,including rectangular,'L' shaped,'V shaped or even irregular shapes.Costs are reduced by using a combination of photo-chemical etching and dedicated hard tooling.A series of standard hard forming tools are used to create the unique spring finger design,and this cost is not passed on to customers.The burr-free photoetching process improves design flexibility,shortens lead times,and eliminates hard tooling costs.
