摘要

The ground is the same for copper and fruit and so is the soil. Tierra Amarilla (yellow land) is a village in the Copiapó valley in the north of Chile. There are craters hundreds of meters deep where copper ore is found and just adjacent you will find light green orchards where very early table grapes like Thompson Seedless, Perlette, Flame Seedless and Red Globe are grown. Early grapes should enter the main markets in the US and Europe by early December, but there were some heavy rains in Septemberand October which delayed the crop by 12 to 14 days, but resulted in a considerably larger crop.
