China: New rules to change organic landscape

China's new regulation on organic products certification, one of the strictest in the world, will help clean up the market and produce organic products of higher quality, said Zhou Zejiang, Representative of International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) in China. The regulation, which fully came into force on July i, 2012, requires all organic products to carry a new certificate label.The label contains a 17-digit code for consumers to check on an official website.
