Under the rubric "Gardening Adventures," I've written no articles on veggie gardening for the Orange County Organic Gardening Club newsletter. Nextto that I've written almost nothing on fruit trees, even though I've been growing a lot of them. There's a reason: Most veggies grow and mature rapidly, so in just a couple of yearsyou can say useful things about their behavior. In contrast, you can't say much of substance about fruit trees until after five years or more.
