At the first AMI Fruit and Vegetable Forum held November n-12, 2010, in Berlin, speakers from the production, marketing and retail industry as well as market researchers radiated optimism. After a series of difficult years producers and marketers feelthat the industry is experiencing an upward trend. Some 100 delegates attended the presentations on sustainability, opportunities for organic fruit and vegetables and consumer behaviour organized by the Agricultural Market Information Company (AMI). Dietmar Pech-Lopatta, Division Manager Food of the market research company GfK Group, remarked that the biggest economic crisis in the post-war era is over.
