From the tree down to the apple pie

Since 2005, the French apple sector has had a new leading group. This is the Pomanjou company, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in the year 2000. Since the silent takeover of the shares held by the Cardell company in October 2004, Pomanjou has increased the quantity sold by 40'000 t/year. In spite of a drop in sales, the group is now the largest apple marketer in France. In the last season, Pomanjou sold 136,000 t - almost as much as Blue Whale (134,000 t).
