Five years ago the labour saving high wire tomato hook the 'Tomahaok' was introduced. Theinnovative, yet simple suspension system received much attention but failed to work asoptimally as hoped. Since then an entirely new version has been introduced, which solvesall the disadvantages of its predecessor. Take hold of the hook and twist it slightly, allowthe twine to run through the reel to the requiredlength, slide along the wire and the tomato plantwill be lowered. The Tomahaok is a suspension systemfor high wire growing methods that makes lowering theplants easier and more labour friendly. The plant is lowered by its own weight and when the system was first introduced it was awarded with a health and safety prizebecause it leads to much lighter work.
