TENNESSEE AND CUSTOMERS REQUEST REHEARING/CLARIFICATION OF FERC'S TECHNICAL CONFERENCE ORDER ON VARIETY OF NON-RATE ISSUES; NORTHEASTERN UTILITIES AND STATES CHALLENGE DISCOUNT ADJUSTMENT OPTION POSED FOR TENNESSEE'S SYSTEM
Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co. (RP11-1566) on June 30 requested rehearing of FERC's recent order on technical conference issued 5/31/11, specifically challenging the Commission's (1) rejection of its proposal to schedule firm secondary out-of-path service by price; (2) ruling that Tennessee place into effect reservation charge credits for force majeure service interruptions retroactive to 6/1/11, which is prior to an approval of Tennessee's proposal to switch to a straight fixed variable (SFV) rate design; and (3) rejection of a proposal to apply the daily imbalance charge on a regional basis, and indicating it could file the proposal in a new proceeding rather than allowing it to modify its tariff in a compliance filing.
