GULF LNG PIPELINE REQUESTS AUTHORIZATION TO INSTALL INTERCONNECTION SUPPORTING THE PASCAGOULA EXPANSION PURSUED JOINTLY BY FLORIDA GAS AND TRANSCO

Gulf LNG Pipeline (GLNG), LLC (CP06-486) on 5/18/11 requested FERC's authorization to construct, own, and operate, under its blanket certificate, an interconnection with Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line, LLC (Transco) and Florida Gas Transmission Co. (FGT) at their Pascagoula Expansion Project in order for Transco and FGT to receive the gas stream that will be comprised of re-vaporized liquefied natural gas (LNG). GLNG Pipeline intends to construct 120 feet of 24-inch diameter pipeline and certain check measurement equipment for the new interconnection at the terminus of the Pascagoula project in Jackson County, Mississippi. GLNG Pipeline was created to operate and maintain the 5.02 mile long, 36-inch diameter sendout pipeline of the LNG Clean Energy Project, authorized in February 2007. The pipeline will be operated on a proprietary and integrated basis with the affiliated LNG terminal. The cost of GLNG Pipeline's interconnection is estimated to be $245,000 and will allow GLNG Pipeline to deliver and Transco and FGT to receive up to 810,000 dth/d firm transportation service. There will be no change in GLNG Pipeline's daily design capacity or daily operating pressure.
