Storage and Hub Expansion in Mississippi Will Serve Gulf Coast Market

Mississippi Hub LLC (MS Hub) (CP09-110) got the go-ahead for an expansion of its salt dome storage facility and hub in Davis and Simpson Counties in southern Mississippi. The project will increase the availability of high-deliverability gas storage capacity in the Gulf Coast area, FERC said, thereby enhancing the interstate pipeline grid, with minimal adverse impacts on landowners and communities. The Commission granted MS Hub's request to extend its authority to charge market-based rates for storage and hub services, and it once again waived certain filing requirements. MS Hub underwent pre-filing environmental review (PF08-29).
