FERC Authorization Clears Plan to Upgrade Puerto Rico's Only Natural Gas Delivery Terminal

On 4/16/09 the FERC Commissioners voted unanimous approval (with some environmental conditions) of an application by EcoElectrica, LP (CP95-35) to amend its previous authorizations under Section 3 of the Natural Gas Act (NGA), issued in 1996, that accomplished the siting, construction, and operation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities for the importation of natural gas into the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
