House Energy and Commerce Committee Run Through More than 75 Witnesses Testifying on the Waxman-Markey Climate Change Proposal; Republicans Not Convinced; New Hearing Set for May 1 Cancelled

The House of Representatives' Committee on Energy and Commerce, chaired by Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), and Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment, chaired by Edward Markey (D-Mass.), hosted more than 75 speakers within four solid days of legislative hearings last week to discuss the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, also known as ACES or the Waxman-Markey discussion draft.
