Volkswagen should waste little time in following up its decision to set up manufacturing facilities in Russia with another announcement regarding developments in Asia, according to chief executive Bernd Pischetsrieder. A lack of presence there remains one of the biggest issues to be resolved by the German group's board of management, Pischetsrieder told Automotive Engineer at the Detroit auto show in January.
