Blackstone Group Merges Dynegy and Power Generation Portfolio; in Side Deal, NRG Acquires Four Gas-Fired Plants

Dynegy Inc. announced a definitive merger agreement under which an affiliate of The Blackstone Group LP will acquire the trademark company. The news came on 8/13/10.
