SG Resources Obtains FERC Authorization to Further Expand Southern Pines Energy Center and to Charge Market-Based Rates for Service

FERC on 11/20/08 granted SG Resources Mississippi, LLC (CPP02-229) a certificate amendment that authorizes a further expansion of the Southern Pines Energy Center salt dome storage project in Green County, Mississippi and reaffirms SG Resources will have market-based rate authority for its storage and its hub services. SG Resources will expand the working gas capacity of its three authorized caverns and construct a fourth storage cavern, two additional brine disposal wells, a 24-inch diameter Destin Lateral Loop pipeline, additional pipeline interconnecting the Destin Lateral Loop pipeline, and two additional 8,000 horsepower engine-driven compressors.
