Ozone, an irritant gas that is harmful to health, can cause headaches, cough, watery eyes, and dizziness. Such effects are unpleasant when driv- ing a car and can also affect driving ability. Gas mole- cules are ten million times smaller than solid particles and particle filters are, therefore, unable to capture ozone.
