The Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services(I&S) Group has received an order from chemical company Kaneka Belgium NV,a sub sidiary of the Japanese Kane ka Corp,to treat water from a canal with the help of mem brane filters.Siemens Bel gium will deliver and start up the equipment by December 2006.The treatment process will include a prefilter screen, two Memcor XP micro- porous membrane systems and a reverse osmosis unit. This process train will retain suspended and dissolved solids to produce the high quality process water that Kaneka requires.
