Whilst this my first communication for 2011 it was remiss of me not to welcome our new members of Council and give thanks to those who have retired.I will correct that now by first congratulating Mike Taylor on his retirement and thanking him for decades of support and guidance given not only to the Society but also to the filtration and separation industry in general. I wish him good health and happiness and offer an open invitation to return or participate whenever he is able. Thanks also to Ashok Puranik for his support and a special thank you to Russell Kaschula who served as Treasurer as well taking an active role in Council affairs. We wish them all good health and success in their future endeavours.
