NORWEGIAN Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, Helga Pederson, recently launched a new aquacultural initiative. Entitled Strategy for an Eco-friendly, Sustainable Aquaculture Industry, it is a follow-up to a governmental promise, made in 2007, that they would 'ensure that the Norwegian aquac-ulture industry is run on a sustainable basis.'
