摘要

It's fueled the industry in many nations, but lack of funding could leave one consortium high and dry. Hillary Egna, professor at Oregon State University on the US West Coast, has traveled the globe, from Asia to Africa to Latin America, imparting thewisdom she has gleaned from her years of study in aquaculture. As director of the AquaFish Collaborative Research Support Program (CRSP) with help from government-based United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and various other American aquaculture experts such as the University of Arizona's Kevin Fitzsimmons ~ she has partnered with various institutions from those regions to help build knowledge among aquaculture students and, in turn, thriving industries in places such as the Philippines, Mexico and Kenya.
