An intensive two-week course building a small log cabin or timber frame is sufficient for students to learn enough practical skills to go away and build their own. That's what Dan Franklin of Holcombe Rogus, near Tiverton, Devon reckons. His company,Woodenways has been operating for 13 years producing timber structures, log cabins and green oak timber-framed buildings and also holds construction courses throughout the UK, Portugal and Germany. This September sees the start of a new log-cabin and timber-frame construction course.
