Sea lice medications are made mnre effEctive when there is co-operation between neighbouring sites - both with the selection of the therapy and the treatment.The medicine AMX, which is sold under the brand name of AL-PHAMAX in Norway and Chile, contains the synthetic pyrethroid deltamethrin at an inclusion rate of lOmg/ml. It is supplied under veterinary prescription for the control of sea lice infestation inboth rainbow trout and Atlantic salmon through topical application by way of bath treatment.The product has been available in the UK since 2004, following its introduction into Norway in 1998.
