摘要

Electronic equipment contains many different materials. Due to this the recycling of different materials requires a high sophisticated sorting technology. Particularly the recovery of metals and plastics makes e-scrap recycling profitable. In many cases e-scrap is treated by shredding, screening, hand sorting, magnet technology and eddy current technology. In some cases sorting lines are equipped with sensor sorting technology for the recovery of metals or printed circuit boards (PCB). However, after the treatment process remaining material often appears - in reference to the sorting steps, concepts and sorting depth - with different composition. Most of the time the remaining material contains plastics with different quality and type, metals and metal compounds, plugs and cables, wire and copper strands, copper nests, ceramics, printed circuit boards (PCB), IC chips etc.
