Response to M. Pluta: 'Less radical surgery than radical hysterectomy in early stage cervical cancer--a pilot study'; Gynecol Oncol 2009;113:181-184.

We read with great interest the report by Pluta et al. [1] entitled "Less radical surgery than radical hysterectomy in early stage cervical cancer-a pilot study." Results are interesting and raise timely the interest to reduce radicality of parametrial resection in selected patients with early cervical cancer patients (IA1-IB1) less than 20 mm and negative sentinel lymph node (SLN). We would like however to comment some of the points dealt with.
