U.S. to lift quotas on Australia, New zealand lamb imports

The United States will remove its tariff-rate quota on Australian and New Zealand lamb imports by Nov. 15.Meanwhile, Australian Agriculture Minister Warren Truss said the government will continue providing levvrelief for lamb producers untol Nov. 15. The government began paying the levy in 1999 to relieve the pressure on Autralina lamb producers causedby the U.S. tariffs,which were approved by then-President Bill Clinton.
