Cadillac sets the standard: CTS sedan gets twin-turbo V6 and eight-speed automatic

GM wants its Cadillac luxury brand to compete head-on with the benchmark European vehicles in performance and efficiency. The next-generation Cadillac CTS midsize sedan gains a high-output twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain will enable the sedan to compete directly with vehicles such as the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
