摘要

This paper describes a new sensor and a method to measure low velocity or fluid flow. Theprominent advantage of this device is an average temperature close to the fluid temperature. Thenthermal perturbations (natural convection) generated by the sensor are negligible. The measurementmethod involves first the use of the Peltier effect to generate the temperature difference betweennumerous thermoelectric junctions along a wire, and second the use of the Seebeck effect to detectthese thermal gradients. Here we show how it is possible to avoid dependence in temperature by anappropriate choice of the materials. After experimental results it is expected that this device can beused in a wide number of applications.
