Floor covering sales to homebuilders, remodelers and even do-it-yourself homeowners have been extremely challenging over the past several years. The homes that you weren't selling flooring to over the past several years are now the most likely prospects for sales over the next few years. As the housing market continues to be flooded with short sales, auction sales, foreclosures and bank owned real estate, floor covering opportunities abound. Currently, there are about two million homes nationally that are in foreclosure. In spite of signs that home prices and the employment situation have begun to stabilize, this number has hardly budged since the beginning of last year.
