Falling demand and prices for caustic soda and chlorine has led o the decision to shut down temporarily a plant (this item gives capacities) at Deer Park TX in the USA, and a second at Tacoma WA. The Deer Park plant is owned by the 76:24 joint venture OxyVinyls between OxyChem and PolyOne.
