摘要

Today's fish and wildlife professionals face everincreasing complexity in their jobs. Decreasing budgets, organizational downsizing, and changing legislative mandates require that these professionals expand their knowledge and learn to better share resources. Continued success achieving resource goals requires that professionals no longer rely on skills focused on individual disciplines. Instead, a wide range of technical and nontechnical skills are necessary. A new interdisciplinary approach to solving complex conservation issues must be followed, which includes training as its cornerstone.
