Occurrence of intermittent high vibration peaks in CO_2 compressor turbine in OCFL,Shahjahanpur has been a baffling problem since 1997-98.Since then various measures were adopted torectify the problem.None of these adopted measures yield fruitful results.Recently,the new guidelines were guidelines were framed before taking the machine into an overhaul,which has ultimately led to the rectification of the problem.This paper covers the activities carried out to rectify the problem,as well as the analysis of the cause-effect relationship.
