IFFCO to invest $100.5m in Legend's rock mine

AUSTRALIA'S LEGEND International Holdings and the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) have formally signed a deal in which the Indian company has agreed to invest US$100.5m for a significant stake in the Australian mining company to develop the Lady Annie phosphate rock deposit in the Georgina Basin in central Queensland. The announcement follows an agreement between the companies reached in early June to raise US$100m in a private placement transaction (FW Online, 6 June 2008).
