CANADIAN COMPANY Marifil Mines Ltd has acquired 100,000 hectares in Argentina based on the findings of its exploration programme in the Neuquen Basin. Using data taken from abandoned oil drill holes, the company says it has identified two potash horizons: an upper horizon from 1303-1314m and a lower horizon 1314- 1323m. The lower horizon grade has been estimated at 15- 20% K2O; the upper 5-15% K2O. The company has staked a 100% interest in 100,000 hectares and is planning to conduct a NI 43-101 study on the site.
