K+S progresses friendly takeover of Potash One

GERMAN POTASH and salt major K+S Aktiengesellschaft on Monday confirmed that its friendly takeover offer for Canadian mining junior Potash One Inc. is – as expected – not subject to a "net benefit to Canada" review under the Investment Canada Act. In a combined media statement with Potash One, K+S said it had received notice in a November 29 letter from the Director of Investments, the senior Canadian federal government official responsible for investment review under the Investment Canada Act, confirming the German firm's conclusion that the offer will not be subject to a "net benefit to Canada" review under the Act.
