UAN : French UAN market slows on upcoming holidays

Activity in France was slow this week due to July 14 celebrations and the upcoming holiday season, but the firmer tendency in UAN markets prevails. Prices for spot UAN positions in the US have moved up sharply with barges traded at New Orleans in a $168-172/st FOB range. Southern Plains prices are up by about $8-10/st on quotes from dealers last week at around $220/st FOB ex tank. Fill programs are yet to be fully completed. US East Coast prices are assessed at $190-195/mt CFR, and the forward trend is up further.
