India's major ports anticipate revised land use policy

AN INDIAN Shipping Ministry committee is expected to submit its recommendations shortly on a revised land use policy for the country's major ports. The revisions are expected to remove several ambiguities in the existing policy, and which are hampering major ports from taking decisions on issues that could improve capacity and earnings as well as efficiency improvements.
