India and Pakistan ready for heavy November buying

India's STC yesterday announced the issuance of a urea tender set to close October 8 for an unspecified quantity of urea. The importer is expected to book up to 500,000 mt for November loading in the tender if prices received are termed acceptable by STC. The move coincides with an accelerated tender schedule by Pakistan for at least 600,000 mt, also scheduled for November shipment. Deviating from the original intent of holding four weekly tenders for 150,000 mt each, starting October 3, the four consecutive tenders will now be held October 3, October 6, October 8 and October 10. Offers in the tenders are requested for a minimum of 50,000 mt from each participant.
