Spot prices into Chile are reported as high as $120-130/mt CFR Mejillones, but were understood to have reached this level prior to the earthquake that struck the country on February 27. The effects of the earthquake were concentrated in the south of the country, and had a negligible effect on nearly all major sulphuric acid-related operations and logistics.
