Ravensdown studies coal-based urea project

NEW ZEALAND fertilizer cooperative Ravensdown is joining forces with the country's largest coal producer for export and for use by domestic industry and commercial enterprises to complete a concept study to confirm the economic viability of building a coal-based urea plant in Southland, the country's southern most region. It is proposed that the plant would use lignite mined from Solid Energy's extensive lignite resources in Eastern Southland.
