India: Demand remains strong

Indian demand remains strong, with bids now in the $60s/mt CFR, according to traders, and some suggest a price range of $70-80/mt CFR. Last week it was reported that PPL bought a cargo of sulphur-burnt product from China at a price close to $80/mt CFR, and this parcel of 7,000 mt is being brought on the White Shark with and ETA of April 5. A delay in production from the company’s sulphur burner has added to Indian sulphuric acid import demand.
