The market for UAN was to be tested in two supply regions on 18 June. In the Baltic, GrodnoAzot tendered for the sale of 25,000t for July lifting, and Abu Qir held a sales tender for the same quantity for loading in early July out of Damietta. In the US, the bullish trend for corn and other crops is supporting nitrogen prices despite the lack of prompt demand outside of areas planting rice. Anticipated demand for corn acres in the next agricultural year still has inland buyers trying to lock in urea, UAN and ammonia purchases for the fourth and first quarters. However, suppliers are generally declining to fix prices that far ahead.
