Uralkali plans to fill in sinkhole near Berezniki

RUSSIAN POTASH producer Uralkali is planning to fill inand eliminate the sinkhole that appeared under the 6-kilometre bypass railroad spur near Berezniki in the PermTerritory last November 25, the company said April 29. Thesinkhole occurred as a result of subsidence when a freighttrain was travelling on this railroad section.The potash producer said it had received a report fromthe Perm City-based Galurgia Mining Institute regarding thesinkhole under the railroad.
