Most output still closed, but HFC test pricing

Latest reports from Egypt has EFC running at about 80% of rated capacity on one line only. MOPCO, Alexfert and Helwan are all down, but Helwan nevertheless invited bids from traders March 12 for 5-6,000 mt granular urea for March lifting. While the tonnage is relatively insignificant, the session is expected to provide some clarity in traders' perception of Egyptian FOB values. News on bids as may have been submitted had yet to be released at press time. Several traders normally participating in Egyptian sales tenders opted out of the session.
