GCT restarted phosphoric acid operations and one of its two DAP trains July 26 after phosphate rock mining again resumed. The Tunisian producer halted operations July 12 following strike action by port and rail workers. Prior to the latest wave of walkouts, GCT planned to produce around 55-65,000 mt of DAP (50-60% of capacity) in July. Production loss as a result of the outage is estimated at around 25,000 mt DAP against a total production for July projected earlier at 55,000 mt (50% of its designed capacity of 110,000 mt/month).
