ICL, Scotts Miracle-Gro close Global Professional deal

ISRAEL CHEMICALS Limited (ICL) on Monday completed the acquisition of the Global Professional speciality fertilizers/horticultural inputs business unit of The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, the world's largest marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products, the Israeli company reported. ICL and Scotts Miracle-Gro signed a letter of offer on December 7 (FW Online, December 10, 2010). Marysville, Ohio-headquartered Scotts Miracle-Gro, in its own statement on Tuesday, reported the closing of the transaction for $270 million in an all-cash transaction.
