OCI Fertilizer becomes fullowner of Beaumont plant

ORASCOM CONSTRUCTION Industries’ (OCI) FertilizerGroup has signed an agreement to acquire minorities in itsTexas-based subsidiary Pandora Methanol LLC (Pandora),which owns an integrated ammonia-methanol plant locatedin Beaumont, Texas, the Egyptian company said onNovember 21. The acquisition takes the OCI FertilizerGroup’s stake to 100% and Pandora Methanol has beenrenamed as OCI North America. The deal comes just oneweek ahead of the scheduled restart of ammoniaproduction at the facility.
