Australian IT spending is expected to grow by 4 per cent per annum over the next four years and flexible, adaptive companies are moving in to take advantage. The chill of an economic slowdown is starting to be felt, but it's becoming apparent that information technology is likely to be one of the most resilient areas. Companies and government departments will continue to reassess their budgets, but IT spending frequently comes out of the review process relatively unscathed because it's something that can improve efficiencies and competitiveness.
