ADTRAN flexes agile photonic capabilities to expand the optical networking edge

ADTRAN Inc., a provider of next-generation networking solutions, announced a significant expansion of its Optical Networking Edge (ONE) portfolio that enables service providers to dramatically simplify service delivery and network operations, as well as accelerate time-to-revenue. These new ONE capabilities provide agile photonics and enhanced service delivery with the introduction of a right-sized, compact reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (mini-ROADM) system-on-a-blade, multiservice Optical Transport Network (OTN, ITU-T G.709) Switchponder, and tunable pluggable optics. These advancements provide operators with a flexible and efficient network architecture, improving their market responsiveness to ever-changing service and network requirements driven by traffic growth and the transition from circuit to packet services.
